A restaurant concept design project. The task: build off of an existing trend/fad and turn it into a restaurant that could stand the test of time.


At the time of this project, instagram was becoming more and more saturated with food pictures and the insta-famous rainbow bagels and grilled cheeses were all the rage. Taking over any foodie’s feed, trendy and colorful bites were both photogenic and tasty. After conducting both primary and secondary research, the concept of Bow was created. Restaurants and bakeries with photogenic and colorful items on their menus were quickly gaining traction in major cities, but none of the options were healthy. The use of artificial dyes and processed ingredients went hand and hand with insta-worthy menus. Bow is a healthier approach to eating colorfully; using fresh and organic ingredients, Bow aims to cut the crap and provide a vibrant cuisine experience that both tastes and looks good.
